Susan Freier, violin - member of the Ives Quartet, SF Contemporary Players, and performer/teacher at Rocky Ridge.  Active private teaching studio.

Stephen Harrison, cello - professor of music Stanford, member of Ives Quartet, soloist with SF Contemporary Players, artist/faculty at Pacific Music Festival and Rocky Ridge.

Peter Henderson, piano - assistant professor of Music, Maryville University, former member of the Garth Newel Piano Quartet, acive chamber music coach, teacher, and performer in St Louis.

Robert Howard, cello - ensemble performer/teacher, San Francisco Symphony sub, Bach Soloist, festivals at Tanglewood, Spoleto, Verbier, and Academia Chigiana.

Emma Rubinstein, violin - assistant professor at BrighamYoung University - Idaho, former member of the Anacapa and Oxford String Quartet, active festival performer.

Tom Stauffer, cello - former professor of Music at San Diego State University, active performer and coach, former Fulbright Fellow and member of the Bloch Quartet.

The Daedalus String Quartet - Ensemble in Residence
The Daedalus Quartet (pronounced DED-a-lus) was founded in the summer of 2000, and one year later captured the Grand Prize of the 2001 Banff International String Quartet Competition, quickly establishing itself as among America’s outstanding string quartets.

The members of the quartet hold degrees from Juilliard, Curtis, the Cleveland Institute, and Harvard University. Brother and sister violinists Kyu-Young Kim and Min-Young Kim, who alternate on first violin, and cellist Raman Ramakrishnan grew up in East Patchogue, Long Island; they met violist Jessica Thompson, a Minneapolis native, at the Marlboro Festival.

The Miró QuartetEnsemble in Residence

The Miró Quartet, founded in 1995 at the Oberlin Conservatory, has won the Fischoff, Banff, and Coleman competitions as well as the Naumburg Chamber Music Award and the Cleveland Quartet Award. They perform regularly at the great concert halls of the world, and are great favorites at numerous summer festivals.  They are the quartet-in-residence at the University of Texas Austin.
